Who is accountable
Integrity AI (founder Erin Peterson) is the organization accountable for the personal information collected through this site. Erin Peterson, Founder, is the person responsible for the protection of that information, including for the purposes of Quebec privacy law.
You can reach us about any privacy matter at [email protected]. Integrity AI is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. Depending on how you use the site, that includes:
- Audit application details: your name, role, email, company, an optional website or LinkedIn link, team size, sector, how your organization uses AI, the kinds of data your AI touches, your current oversight, availability, case study preference, and the free text answers you write.
- Consent records: which consent boxes you checked, the exact wording shown to you, the date and time, and the IP address the submission was sent from. We keep this so we can show what you agreed to and when.
- Contact messages: if you use the contact form or email us, the name, email, and message you send.
Why we collect it
We use the information you submit to:
- review and evaluate your application for a free Governance Debt Audit case study;
- communicate decisions, and, for selected participants, carry out the audit and prepare the case study (which you review before anything is published);
- respond to questions you send us; and
- send you marketing emails only if you separately opt in to them. Your application is assessed the same way whether or not you opt in.
Applications are reviewed by a person at Integrity AI, not by an automated system.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond the ones described here without asking you first.
Where your information is handled, and outside Canada transfers
When you submit the form, your information passes through our form-processing and database provider, and is then delivered to Integrity AI by email through our email delivery provider. The resulting email is held in Integrity AI's email account.
These service providers may store and process your information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is outside Canada or Quebec, your information may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and government authorities in those countries under their laws. We use these providers only to operate the form and deliver mail, and we share your information with them only for that purpose. A current list of our service providers is available on request at [email protected].
How we protect your information
We limit access to your information to Integrity AI and the service providers described above. We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect it against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we protect your information in a way that reflects its sensitivity.
How long we keep it
We keep applications only as long as needed to run this selection and, for selected participants, to complete the audit and produce the case study. We delete applications and their consent records from our records within 12 months after selection decisions are communicated. Marketing consent records are kept for as long as you remain opted in, plus a short period afterward to document that you withdrew. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong or incomplete, or to delete it. To make any of these requests, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by law.
Withdrawing marketing consent: if you opted in to marketing emails, you can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect your application.
Questions and complaints
If you have a privacy question or concern, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or by phone at 1-800-282-1376.
Residents of Quebec may also contact the Commission d'acces a l'information du Quebec at cai.gouv.qc.ca.
For Quebec residents

As described above, your information is handled by service providers that may store and process it outside Quebec, including in the United States. We have assessed this and take reasonable steps to protect your information wherever it is handled. You have the right to access and correct your information, and to withdraw consent, as set out in this policy.
